Starter Loc Basics

Starter Loc Basics

Sooo, you have a new set of starter locs and your hairdresser didn't inform you on how to maintain them, huh? Well, I'll be the first tell you that it is not an easy journey for everyone. You must be confident and possess the ability to trust the process. I'm here to help you along the way by sharing some tips to care for your starter locs. The following tips will help you through the first 90 days.

1. Tie them down at night. This prevents them from untwisiting, for those who decide on the twist, palm roll or coils, to start.

2. Mist your locs daily with a spray for the scalp and hair because you will most likely experience itching during this time. If you can't make it to me to purchase some of the scalp and hair refresher I produce, then here's an alternative DIY spray you can make. 3. If you notice your locs are extra dry, don't hesitate to rub a light oil on your scalp and throughout your locs. Let me give you a hint as to how much to use....Less Is More. Got it? You don't want a lot of buildup in your locs.

4. Book your follow up appt for 4 weeks after you start your locs.

5. TRUST THE PROCESS
